Justice League: Snyder Cut - 10 Cuts Warner Bros Should NEVER Have Made

7. Interconnecting Justice League With The Aquaman Movie

Marvel directors usually discuss what they plan to do for their movies with other directors so the characters' story arcs stay consistent. Zack Snyder had the same idea, knowing his work was simply a part of a much larger web. He wanted Justice League to be a self-contained story but he also had to sow the seeds for future projects. Since the next film in the DCEU was Aquaman, Snyder felt obligated to connect the two.

Snyder shot a scene where Aquaman is confronted by several Atlanteans, including his partner, Mera, and his advisor, Nuidis Vulko, (played by Willem Dafoe). Vulko hands Aquaman his trident, stating it is his duty to lead them. The last shot of Arthur Curry shows him tracking a submarine; the same vessel Black Manta infiltrates in the beginning of the Aquaman film.

Although the Aquaman film was massively successful, it seemed to keep its distance from Justice League, barely acknowledging the events that occurred in that movie. Because of how well Aquaman turned out, hopefully we should see a lot of more him and his people in the Snyder Cut.
