Yesterday, what once seemed impossible finally happened. In the closing few minutes of his Man of Steel watch party, director Zack Snyder confirmed that the "Snyder Cut" of Justice League is finally going to be released. The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign has showed no signs of slowing down over the past two-and-a-half years, but no one ever expected those vocal fans to ever actually get what they wanted.

Following the tragic death of Snyder's daughter, Warner Bros. enlisted The Avengers director Joss Whedon to write and direct extensive reshoots which resulted in a movie which was poorly received, and widely ridiculed for the horrendous CGI mouth Henry Cavill was lumbered with to hide his moustache.

Fans have been desperate to see what Snyder originally had planned, especially as teases shared on his Vero account have made it clear just how different it would have been. Since the announcement was made last night, a plethora of details have been revealed about Zack Snyder's Justice League (which is the official title), and you'll find all of them here.

From what state the "Snyder Cut" is actually in to comments from Warner Bros. executives and Snyder himself, there's a lot to delve into here, and Justice League is now shaping up to be one of 2021's biggest releases...

Unfortunately, no announcement came, but something was happening behind the scenes.

The following day, Zack Snyder and his producing partner Deborah Snyder received a call from their agent at 7am. Toby Emmerich, Chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures, had finally taken not of this movement, and wanted to know if it was something the husband and wife duo could make happen.

"This is real. People out there want it. Would you guys ever consider doing something?" was what Emmerich asked Snyder, and the filmmaker immediately started planning out what form it could take.

In a statement released yesterday, Emmerich said, "This feels like the right time to share Zack’s story, and HBO Max is the perfect platform for it. We’re glad the creative planets aligned, allowing us to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut." However, what form it will take remains undecided...
