Justice League: The Snyder Cut - 10 Coolest Details We Know So Far

7. The Ending Leads Directly Into Aquaman

Despite sharing one giant universe, DC's recent movies have never really felt that connected. Sure, Batman popped up in Suicide Squad and Flash was in Batman V Superman, but the level of world-building has been nowhere near as in-depth as the stuff Marvel has been doing for the last ten years.

Not that there's anything wrong with standalone stories, but it's nice when everything clicks together like a huge jigsaw puzzle, and the Snyder Cut tried to give us more of this connectivity by leading its ending directly into 2018's solo Aquaman movie.

The theatrical cut of Justice League ends with Aquaman jumping back into the ocean... and that's it. But in Snyder's version - as Jason Momoa described to interviewer Chris Van Vliet - there's a lot more added on:

"In Zack’s cut, we had it where I was with Vulko and Mera and I say that I have to go home. And they say there’s this force coming that I need to help. I’m like, 'I’m going home to see my dad.' I get into the back of a pickup truck and pound a bottle of something and off he goes, the wanderer. So that was kind of the end of Justice League... cut to me coming home, and run into a submarine."

Mera was barely in Justice League and Vulko wasn't in it at all, but they have a much bigger presence in the Snyder Cut if the director's Vero images are anything to go by (like the one pictured above), many of which feature those two characters and could've been taken from this ending that Momoa is referencing.
