Justice League Vs. The Avengers: Which Is Better?

12. The Hero Dynamic

The most important aspect of any superhero team-up movie is how well the team gels together on-screen, creating a convincing bond after some inevitable squabbling, of course.

This is one of The Avengers' strongest aspects, thanks to both Whedon's sharp writing and the excellent ensemble cast. The teaming up feels suitably uneasy, and by the time they become a well-oiled machine, it feels thoroughly earned.

Because the DCEU is desperately trying to play catch-up, Justice League rushes through the new character introductions and doesn't do a particularly convincing job of setting up the superhero supergroup. The brief arguments are fun, but overall it just feels a little too easy and low-effort.

Winner: The Avengers and it's not even close.
