Justice League: What Does The Ending Really Mean?

The second post-credit sequence of Justice League includes some pretty huge revelations that will impact all DCEU movies going forward. Focusing on Lex Luthor's escape from prison, Superman's arch-enemy retreats to a getaway yacht where he's met by none other than Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke.

Acknowledging that Batman and Superman have teamed up to form the Justice League, Lex indicates that in response he's going to use Deathstroke to put together his own team of super-criminals. In the comics this squad is known as the Injustice League (geddit?), and it seems likely that it's this team who will be headlining Justice League 2, if it ever happens.

With Lex and Deathstroke as the founding members, they'll no doubt be joined by Dwanye Johnson's Black Adam after he debuts in 2019's Shazam. There'll be a couple more major players to be revealed in the upcoming years - potentially Jared Leto's Joker or Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn - but for now it's only those three who are locked in.
