Justice League: What Does The Ending Really Mean?

2. Deathstroke Probably Won't Be In The Batman

Unfortunately, while Deathstroke showing up at the end of Justice League proves that Joe Manganiello hasn't been forgotten about in the constantly changing DCEU, it probably confirms rumours that he's being dropped as the main villain of the upcoming Batman movie.

When Ben Affleck was poised to write and direct, Deathstroke was the antagonist they had in mind to go toe to toe against The Caped Crusader, a plan which has been up in the air since Matt Reeves took over the project. It's been rumoured that the new director not only wants a new villain to headline the blockbuster though, but that he even has eyes set on an entirely new Batman.

Consequently, Deathstroke may still make an appearance in The Batman, but certainly not as the main antagonist. Even then, DC might decide to save his debut for Justice League 2, rather than undermining him as a side-villain before then.
