Kane & Lynch to recieve big movie adaptation

250px-kaneandlynch01.jpgThis is a rare occurrence indeed. Variety are telling us that the video game Kane & Lynch is to recieve a film adaptation, the news coming a good six months before the game is even released in stores! Lionsgate is the studio that have picked up the game created by Eidos Interactive which will be released on Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 this fall. It's hoped shooting can begin in the fall.
Plot of the pic will mimic that of the game, which hits retail in the fall. Mercenary Kane and medicated psychopath Lynch meet while being transported to death row and team to seek revenge on a shadowy organization for which Kane once worked.
Jieho Lee is in talks to direct. His movie The Air I Breathe which is currently been shown at Cannes has an insane rating of 9.5 after some 336 votes. The movie stars Kevin Bacon, Forest Whitaker, Brendan Fraser, Emile Hirsch, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Andy Garcia which is getting such great buzz. Kane and Lynch is being made by the same guys who made the Hitman video game. Below is the trailer for the X-Box 360 version of the game, which like I said hasn't even come out yet. Looks pretty sweet and you can definitely see the Hitman influence not only in gameplay but in terms of plot and the look of the game...
