Just about every major-player movie blog in the US has been pestering Kevin Feige this weekend, using the Avengers: Age of Ultron junket to pan for headlines. Thankfully, Feige is an old hand at handling this sort of pseudo-interview. You can see him on good form in this video from MTV where, essentially, he's just asked to provide news on a series of Marvel projects, one by one, as if the interviewer were reading from a list. Right now, they're looking for writers for Captain Marvel, not cast. The new Spider-Man is Peter Parker because they've never done an MCU one before. Miles Morales has "opportunities for sure" if things keep working out. Feige says the field is wide with Spider-Man casting, though they're looking at those who can play 15-16 year old. Benedict Cumberbatch may play an English Doctor Strange. Or maybe not. The accent hasn't yet been discussed. Loki will have an integral role in Thor: Ragnarok. Writers are currently at work, and they're looking for a director on this, and other, future MCU films. Don't expect more films to be added into the middle of the Marvel slate, it's more likely that films will change dates. Avengers Infinity War will be two distinct, standalone films, not one huge story split with a cliffhanger. They're not thinking beyond Phase 3 right now, at least not in any real, solid terms. Captain America: Civil War will be, as anybody with basic reading comprehension was just reminded, a Captain America film. He will be the "primary focus." And that was when the list ran out.
