5. Charlie Hunnam's Charismatic Lead Performance

King Arthur Legend Of The Sword Charlie Hunnam
Warner Bros.

Charlie Hunnam has certainly been a hit-and-miss talent over the years, but he's perfectly cast as this iteration of King Arthur, bringing a welcome dose of charm and sardonic wit to a character who is typically portrayed as achingly self-serious and virtuous to the point of boring.

Of course, Hunnam is a physical unit and effortlessly convinces as a bada** warrior, but he also ably conveys the torment of Arthur's arc throughout the film, and by film's end, it truly feels like he's been on an epic, harrowing journey.

While you'd be forgiven for writing him off on the basis of his bland performance in Pacific Rim alone, here he proves he has much more to offer with the right part.
