Kingsman 3: 10 Things We Want To See

6. Less Forced Character Deaths

Death is an expected part of just about any action movie franchise, but it's a shame that so little effort was put into making The Golden Circle's death scenes feel remotely earned.

First off, Roxy is blown up after virtually no screen time, Eggsy's poor dog is killed for the mean-spirited sake of it, Merlin dies in a rather lazy attempt to mine easy emotion (pun intended), and though Whiskey getting minced was actually pretty awesome, it's a shame his turn to villainy was so utterly unconvincing.

Most of these deaths didn't feel like they needed to happen, nor were they exploited for maximum emotional or visceral impact.

Kingsman 3 could do with scaling the major character deaths back and instead focusing on making audiences care first. It really matters, even in a series as silly as this.
