Kingsman 3: 10 Things We Want To See

7. A Longer Development Period

Now, it's probably not reasonable to call The Golden Circle a rushed sequel, because it did release more than two-and-a-half years after the original, but it's clear that Vaughn and Goldman didn't spend enough of that time refining the script.

After all, shooting began in May 2016, so the script had to be ready in relatively speedy fashion, and from the end result it's obvious it would've benefited from a little more time in development.

Hopefully all involved with look at the mild reception to the new movie and appreciate that the next film should be written at a more considered pace.

Vaughn and Goldman should really think long and hard about what they want the movie to be, and if that means Kingsman 3 doesn't happen for 3-4 years, then so be it. At least Vaughn's reportedly making spy thriller I Am Pilgrim next, so he's probably got a little more breathing room to think things through.

After all, if the next movie is just another mediocre sequel, it could tank the franchise outright and kill a potentially huge cash cow for all involved.
