Kong: Skull Island - 21 WTF Moments

1. So MONARCH Have An Interrogation Room Already?

Who the hell ARE Monarch, exactly? They're presented as explorers with an agenda to prove that monsters exist, using scientific research they've been working on for years thanks to government grants. They're not military, because they require a military escort to Skull Island... So why do they have an interrogation room?

And more to the point, how come the pointless Chinese geologist and her apparent now-boyfriend (they realise they love each other at one point, but it mustn't matter as it literally gets 13 seconds of screen time), Corey Hawkins, suddenly became secret Monarch men in black types?

The timeline suggests that Conrad and Weaver JUST got there, and yet Hawkin's scientist presents them with a prepared dossier on the other monsters they need to investigate. This is the same guy who didn't believe Randa about 15 minutes ago. Did I blink and have some sort of absence?

And also, having a secret pact between the survivors not to reveal the monsters is one thing, but what about the guys in the rescue helicopter who blatantly saw Kong standing in all his glory at the end? Why would they agree to the keep shtum?
