2. Kong Forgets The Other Choppers

At the end of the movie, the survivors ignore the fact that they were told it would take three days to walk across the island by Marlowe, by floating in a terrible, very slow boat in about 8 hours. Everyone rejoices and the Athena refuelling choppers fly over the horizon to come and save the day.

Unfortunately, Kong hasn't forgotten what happened last time these exact choppers visited and shot him to bits, so he roars at them furiously. It looks a lot like he's about to attack them... And then nothing. The film ends and the post-credits reveals everyone got off the island safely. So what the hell just happened between that murderous roar and the choppers flying off into the sun?

Did he suddenly lose his mojo? Did someone reason with him? It's just very silly.
