Kung Fury 2: Bonkers Cult Classic Is Getting A Sequel

For anyone who didn't see cult classic Kung Fury, the Kickstarter fuelled action short was an incredible experience, laced with 80s cop movie genes but put trough the kind of mangled imagination that only special minds could manage. Available at the time on Youtube for free, the film racked up 25 million views there alone, making a sequel almost inevitable.

A year later, the director David Sandberg has confirmed as much on Instagram...

The first film trebled its initial Kickstarter goal and will be assured of similar performance if Sandberg chooses to finance the same way. Chances are he won't need to after the original's success, but he's now in a position to choose himself.

Quite how the sequel will top robots, norse Gods, dinosaurs, Nazis and Kung Fury himself remains to be seen, but is Sandberg has anything going for him it's his incredible (and odd) imagination. Hopefully he's bringing Hitler back, as that'd be a great start.
