It also won't surprise anyone to learn that Last Night in Soho is packed full of incredible, well-placed music, because would it really be an Edgar Wright joint otherwise?

Without giving too many needle-drops away, the soundtrack includes licks from the likes of Dusty Springfield, The Kinks, The Who, and perhaps most amusingly of all, Cilla Black.

The musical standouts are without question a show-stopping acapella version of Petula Clark's "Downtown" sung by Anya Taylor-Joy herself, and inspired use of Siouxsie and the Banshees' banger track "Happy House" during a pivotal Halloween scene.

Wright recently said that he hopes to make an outright musical film one day, and considering his canny ear for quality tunes - and his ability to sync them to stunning visuals - why the hell not?
