1. It's Easily Edgar Wright's Worst Film

Wright is an extremely consistent director for the most part - Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The World's End, and Baby Driver are all thoroughly entertaining, brilliantly crafted features.

Last Night in Soho ultimately feels a step below all of them, largely because it doesn't enjoy the same fusion of a witty, clever script with great performances and sharp visuals.

This feels like a far more shallow offering, elevating a hit-and-miss screenplay with its game performers and technical proficiency.

That's not to say it's a failure for Wright, because his worst film still turning out "pretty good" is a solid outcome all things considered.

Just don't go in expecting something on the level of his best works and there's enough here to enjoy. Speaking of which, here's what Wright got right...
