LEGO Batman Movie: 75 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See
45. O'Hara
Though she's been gender-swapped, Commissioner Gordon’s partner is named as O’Hara, which is obviously a reference to Commissioner Gordon’s sidekick from the comics and Batman '66, Chief O’Hara, who was played by Stafford Repp.
44. Barbara's Costume
On her first appearance, Barbara appears wearing a purple outfit, as a nod to her iconic costume from the comics.
Later, when she finally gets her Batgirl suit (after a pink monstrosity that you can actually buy as a fancy dress costume for kids), it's purple and looks like a combination of Yvonne Craig's purple Batsuit from the 60s Batman series, albeit with some features from Batgirl of Burnside.
43. "No, You Freeze!"
When the Joker and his Rogue pals appear once more to invade the Gordons' gig, Mr Freeze is told to Freeze by a GCPD cop, only to retort "no, you freeze" and freezing the unlucky victim.
It's a PG-friendly version of a line from the best scene in Bad Boys - one of the films Batman references when he's attempting to show off to Barbara and prove he's still necessary.
And while the line is different, it's also another addition to the lexicon of awful ice-based puns Mr Freeze committed in Batman & Robin.
