Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling & Zac Efron Hold Talks For Star Wars Episode 7

star wars 7 Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron have all held talks with Disney over roles in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII, according to Latino Review. Now LR have a very good track record, though we should remember that lately they've had a few misfires, including vehement reporting recently that Marvel were to announce plans for a Planet Hulk movie at Comic Con, which ultimately never happened. Still, let's consider this to be true for a bit... LR say DiCaprio quickly turned the movie down. He supposedly met with Abrams and Disney and ruled himself out. Ryan Gosling is said to have held talks over the role of Luke Skywalker's son, whilst Efron read for an undisclosed part. No word on whether Gosling and Efron are still in the running but in the case of Gosling, all recent quotes suggested he would be taking a break from acting following his recent role in Only God Forgives. He told Vulture recently;
" I think it's good for me to take a break and reassess why I'm doing it and how I'm doing it. And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does."
As for Efron, he was once a big Disney star and it's easy to imagine him winding up in this saga. Disney's D23 annual fan convention is forthcoming in the next few weeks (begins August 9th) and we suspect that Abrams will have some teasers and announcements then. Will Gosling and Efron be part of the cast?
