Liam Neeson Confirms Zeus Role in WRATH OF THE TITANS, Calls Sequel 'Whole Revamping'

Liam Neeson has confirmed to The Belfast Telegraph that he will reprise his role as Zeus in the Spring shooting Wrath of the Titans, the sequel to this year's Clash of the Titans...
"I've only read half of the script and there is still some work being done - they're on script 10 - but I think it's going to be some kick ass stuff and a very human story to it," and adds "We will start next March. I'm very much looking forward to it. It's a whole revamping, you know,"
A revamping eh? 10 scripts? What can we expect? Could we see them go for a darker, grittier tone perhaps? This idea certainly appeals. If the recent trailer for Liebesman's upcoming Battle: Los Angeles is any measure then it seems he can certainly handle large scale action mixed with a bit of down and dirtiness. Possibly more emphasis on the Gods this time. This idea again appeals as they were woefully underused in the last outing. Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes and Gemma Arterton are already attached to reprise their roles as Perseus, Hades an IO and word on the street is that they are also chasing James Franco (isn't everybody) and Javier Bardem to come on board. The film will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Battle: Los Angeles) for a planned Spring 2012 release.
