Liam Neeson & James Nesbitt tackling Northern Ireland troubles in FIVE MINUTES TO HEAVEN
Irish duo Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt are teaming together for the first time to star in Five Minutes to Heaven, the next movie from Oliver Hirschbiegel (Downfall) which tackles three decades of trouble in Northern Ireland. Beginning in the late 60's, the movie which is currently shooting on location tells the story of two men's lives that are ruled by violence ending with the peace process in 1998.
For Neeson - it's another very personal project for a man who really likes to get emotionally invested into his roles. Nesbitt also will have this dear to his heart, he already starred in the 2002 Paul Greengrass movie Bloody Sunday which graphically showcased the violent civil rights moments of 70's Northern Ireland. You also would be mistaken in forgetting that Nesbitt can be a great actor amidst all the over-used t.v. commercials and awful British drama productions he can often be seen in. And despite what you might have seen in The Invasion, Hirschbiegel is a fantastic director and this material which more closely resembles his brilliant Downfall - should make for some compelling viewing. source - variety
