2. It's Emotionally Resonant

Deadpool and Logan are both "mature" movies in the sense that they're R-rated, but only one of them is concerned with making the audience feel something that might carry long after the credits roll.

Deadpool is all about humour and personality, but Logan gives its legendary title character an emotionally cathartic send-off that's been making grown men cry.

It's hard for Deadpool to compete with that, and though it does try to fashion a genuinely touching relationship between Wade and Vanessa, it's just nowhere near as effective as Logan's devastating visceral wallop.
