8. Professor X Is Dead The Whole Time

The Theory: One of the more compelling and intriguing fan theories was that Charles Xavier was actually already dead before the movie even began, and appeared only as either a figment of Logan's imagination or, more likely, as a psychic projection Xavier created before his physical body died.

The Truth: Juicy and interesting though this is, Xavier is really just an old guy with the worst case of Alzheimer's in recorded history. There's no supernatural twist related to Xavier's existence here. He does die, but it's a very brisk, physical moment, and then he's simply gone.
