Logan: 31 Easter Eggs & References You Must See

9. The Adamantium Bullet

Wolverine Adamantium Bullet
Fox

The issue of the Adamantium bullet in X-Men Origins: Wolverine has long bee an irritant to fans, since it makes little sense that it could actually do any damage to Wolverine (and no more than a regular bullet through his eye could, for instance), but Logan contains a big nod to the device all the same.

It's revealed that Logan carries around a bullet made of the metal, first as a reminder of where he came from and then as a failsafe for when he chose to commit suicide. That's also a call-back to Old Man Logan, in which Logan attempted suicide by freight train, but shook it off all too easily.

And though it makes little sense, the bullet represents an important part of Wolverine's movie lore (and it's also a really handy thing to have around since it allows Laura to ironically basically end the extrapolation of Stryker's work - X-24 - with the same method designed to kill Logan if needed).
