Logan Review: 9 Ups & 2 Downs
1. There's One Ridiculous Subplot
Without saying why exactly, things get a little daft (even for the standards of a comic book film) with a certain element introduced in the movie's second half.
Though it's ultimately a rather small part of the film, its inclusion is sure to raise some eyebrows as it clashes somewhat with the more gritty, grounded tone of the film prior.
It basically ends up working as well as one could have expected, but tweaking this revelation slightly could've made it feel a lot less silly.
It's the closest the movie gets to flirting with the over-the-top nonsense of the other Wolverine films, and you'll know exactly what it is when you see it, that's for sure.
But now, here's why you absolutely must see Logan...
