Logan Trailer: 6 Ups & 5 Downs From Wolverine 3 Teaser
R rating good, spoiling death bad.
Another day another comic book movie sequel, this one featuring everyone's favourite knife-fist wielding maniac; Logan aka Wolverine. So far, he's still the only one of the X-Men to get solo outings, though the output so far has been a mixed bag with 2013's The Wolverine being pretty solid before falling into typical third act nonsense. The less said about Origins, the better.
Based - at least a little bit - on Mark Millar's ongoing comic book series Old Man Logan, this latest addition to the X-Men franchise promises to once again explore what makes Logan tick, all the while giving him excuses to tear people apart. This isn't a philosophical art-piece after all.
Fortunately Logan looks to be quite promising. This being Hugh Jackman's swan-song as the character, big things are expected and so far this looks to be taking the actor out of the role on a high. But then, of course 20th Century Fox has had a few missteps with the franchise over the years, so some scepticism is inevitable, but on the back of the first trailer, there are definitely some positives.
Unfortunately, there are also some potential concerns as well.
But first to the positives...
