Looper: 20 Mistakes Rian Johnson Should Have Avoided

1. The Central Premise

Time-travel is outlawed, it is only used by the mob... to dump their hits into. That's the best use they could come with? Abe is seemingly the only one to come through. No changing the past as we know it? No, aspirations for world domination? Apparently, there is the method of "Tracking" that completely destroys a mob's ability to rack up a body count unless they dispose of the body in the most elaborate way in history. Why not just use the old tactic of making it look like a suicide/accident, or use acid to get rid of the bodies? If I were in law enforcement found out that the mob was using time-travel to only get rid of human targets, I would be disappointed... Whew alright 20 points of things that make you go "Hm" when watching Looper. Again I think it's a fine film tas his is most nit-picky I've ever gotten, I just thought it would be great just to have thoughtful discussions on the implications of the film. Please discuss freely and reasonably...

Writer and film-nut I'm willing to have perfectly reasonable discussions about the movies I love... on the internet... perhaps I asked too much. Read and comment on my personal blog too at cityuponahillmedia.com/blog
