2. The Hobbit's Dwarves Get Zero Characterisation

There's probably no other recent franchise which had such an undefined, under-developed group of characters as the dwarves in The Hobbit films. If you can name four of these characters at the very most, you deserve a medal.

Thorin is a very good character, Kili will be remembered thanks to the aforementioned love triangle and Balin (Ken Stott) is a bit better, but the others are about as anonymous as film characters get.

Even if you've watched the movies recently, it's nigh-on impossible to describe any of the dwarves because they have no characterization or backstory whatsoever. The scene when Bilbo says goodbye to the dwarves is actually very awkward, because you'll just be thinking "Wait... who's that again?" for most of them.

None of the actors gave bad performances, but these dwarves were still terrible characters who needed a hell of a lot of work.
