M. Night Shyamalan's Glass: 7 Plot Predictions

5. We'll See More Of Kevin's Personalities

Glass Split
Universal Pictures

Though the marketing for Split touted Kevin's 23 different personalities (with a soon-to-be-emerging 24th) on posters, images and in trailers, the final film didn't even show us half of these.

Including The Beast, we're shown less than ten onscreen, leaving plenty more that have yet to be unveiled.

We're guessing that this was an intentional decision on Shyamalan's part, and was not because he hadn't thought of the rest or couldn't include them due to time restraints. We think he deliberately held some back to use them in Glass, meaning that several of these new personalities could be critical to the film's plot.

So what will they be?

In Split, we learn that Kevin is capable of changing his body chemistry. Would he, effectively, be able to 'create' new personalities to match each situation he finds himself in? Could he whip up a maths genius if he ever wants to seem clever, or a thin, weedy frame if he ever wants to look weak and trick someone into thinking he's vulnerable?

Those are basic examples, but you get the point.

At the end of Split, it's unclear whether or not The Beast has fully taken over and subdued a portion of the personalities, since the last time we see him he's only switching between a couple.

But regardless, we expect Glass to show us at least one or two different sides of Kevin, since we've only seen a fraction of the character's identities thus far.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
