3. Kevin's Past Is Revealed

One of David Dunn's 'superpowers' is the ability to glimpse criminal acts committed by those he comes into contact with.

This skill was never really explained or developed beyond this; it's unclear how recent these crimes have to be for David to see them, or if they even have to be recent at all.

With this in mind, this power could be used to gain some sort of an insight into Kevin's past.

During a scene in Split that finds The Beast hunting down Casey, Kevin temporarily regains control of his body and tells the girl that the last thing he remembers is being on a bus on September 18, 2014.

Perhaps he committed an unspeakable crime on this day that caused his other personalities to take over and bury Kevin deep inside his own body, or if something else of importance happened on that date, perhaps David will be able to see it through his visions.

Split gave us fragments of Kevin's upbringing and his abusive parents, but - as the scene showing him placing flowers on a train platform hints at - there's a lot more to his past that we don't yet know.

We'll likely see more of Kevin's childhood, expanding on the brief glimpses shown in Split, perhaps even discovering how his unique condition developed.

David and Kevin will inevitably come into contact at some point, and when they do, David will almost certainly want to find out more about his complex opponent.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
