18. The Music Box
The nods back to the original trilogy come pretty thick and fast, including the inclusion of the stripped mechanism of a music box.
Harking back to the start of Road Warrior when Gibson's Max finds the same trinket that he ends up giving to the Feral Kid, there's a shot in Fury Road when Toast the Knowing winds a little music box.
It's another reference that messes with the timeline, if you choose to believe it's the same music box. But frankly it's probably just a fan-baiting moment put in by Miller as a self-conscious "echo" of the important moments of the franchise.
