1. The Game Cast Deserves Better

The cast are the real victims of this movie, because on paper they certainly seem like decent enough fits for their parts, and yet each and every single one of them is given so little to work with.

Dakota Johnson's adorable awkwardness isn't taken advantage of, nor Tahar Rahim's smouldering intensity, and it's really only Celeste O'Connor and Isabela Merced who manage to make much of a dent as Mattie and Anya respectively.

Even the fast-rising Sydney Sweeney has oddly lacking screen presence here, and given her well-proven dramatic chops, she was clearly deserving of a beefier role - even accepting this as the fundamentally silly superhero romp it is.

There it is. "The casting department did nothing wrong" is truly the best thing that can be said about this movie.
