8. An Ideal to Strive Towards
Just like Russell Crowe says in the trailer hes and ideal to strive towards. Superman helps others selflessly, to the best of his ability. True, that ability might be invulnerability, flight, superspeed, laser vision and all the rest of it but thats irrelevant; what matters is that he made the choice to help others. And you should too. If the best of your ability is to help someone out of a depression, then do it. You dont need superpowers to be a saviour. Thats what Superman means to me. And thats just the tip of the iceberg. Superman means an awful lot to a lot of people and even if thats not you, you have to wonder why this guy is so vastly iconic right? You should be excited that another movie has a chance to get it right.
