Man Of Steel: 5 Reasons It'll Rule This Summer

4. The Writers

Christopher Nolan, the director of arguably one of the greatest trilogies in film, The Dark Knight trilogy, and David Goyer wrote the story for Man Of Steel. Given the track record of both, people looking forward to this film should be confident that a good story will be told throughout a movie that will explore the origins of Clark Kent and how the character's presence affects the world. This will be no poorly-written vehicle, manipulated to give us all the opportunity to see Superman save a stricken plane again - it will be something deeper, and more gripping, just as the Dark Knight trilogy was before it in the same hands. If Man Of Steel is a success, we can probably expect a similar arc for Clark Kent as we saw for Bruce Wayne, or at least a similar trajectory in terms of how the character becomes the legend. The details and the ultimate resolution should be different, but judging by the story hints we have so far, it wouldn't be unfair to see this as Superman Begins, and hopefully that conscious link will positively affect the film's quality.
