1. Kryptonite
I have to admit that kryptonite bores me. Its an easy way out for villains to defeat the Man of Tomorrow. In a movie where the main villain is Kryptonian, youd think, why feature kryptonite? It would harm the hero and the villain. Seems odd. In my own opinion, I would feature it maybe as a cliffhanger to a sequel or the Justice League film. Maybe its discovered somewhere eon Earth like Addis Ababa (laughs). In all seriousness, Id use it as a cliffhanger. Maybe Lex Luthor discovers it in an after credits scene? Who knows? Save it for a sequel but feature it lightly. There you have it. My five essential things that need to appear in Man of Steel. They may be remnants of the Superman that the film is trying to avoid, but they are too principal to be left alone.
