One of the most important aspects of any reboot is how it ends; this will send a message to audiences about where the filmmakers plan to proceed from here, and with Man of Steel, it is made abundantly clear that things are steering in near enough the expected direction. The film ends with Clark returning home, and stating that he needs to find a job that keeps his ear to the ground and will make it easy for him to dash off at a moment's notice; of course, it's the Daily Planet. Snyder withholds the bespectacled look from us several times during the final sequence, ending on a brilliant money shot as Clark, with a new hair style and thick glasses, re-introduces himself to Lois Lane.
