4. Christian - Mirror Mirror II: Raven Dance (1994)
New City ReleasingIf theres anything worse than a poorly directed, poorly edited, poorly acted, low-budget horror film its the sequel to a poorly directed, poorly edited, poorly acted, low-budget horror film. Somtimes B-Horror films at least have compelling premises from talented writers who just arent fortunate enough to get the backing of a major studio. This is most certainly not the case in Mirror Mirror II: Raven Dance. The woeful film continues the story of the mirror possessed by a completely unintimidating demonic force which can give those who look into it a supernatural power which comes at a terrible price. Suffice to say that unless youre one of these people who can chuckle at terrible horror flicks this one really isnt worth your time. Even the acting heft of a 26-year-old Mark Ruffalo isnt enough to redeem this film. As youd expect, the dialogue of Ruffalos character is too rigid, forced and painfully unnatural to allow him to have a good performance, even if he was at the height of his acting ability. His performance was obviously enough to impress the director as he was offered a part in Mirror Mirror III which he accepted. Clearly times were hard for poor Mark in the mid-90s.
