Mark Ruffalo: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

4. Christian - Mirror Mirror II: Raven Dance (1994)

New City ReleasingNew City ReleasingIf there€™s anything worse than a poorly directed, poorly edited, poorly acted, low-budget horror film it€™s the sequel to a poorly directed, poorly edited, poorly acted, low-budget horror film. Somtimes B-Horror films at least have compelling premises from talented writers who just aren€™t fortunate enough to get the backing of a major studio. This is most certainly not the case in Mirror Mirror II: Raven Dance. The woeful film continues the story of the mirror possessed by a completely unintimidating demonic force which can give those who look into it a supernatural power which comes at a terrible price. Suffice to say that unless you€™re one of these people who can chuckle at terrible horror flicks this one really isn€™t worth your time. Even the acting heft of a 26-year-old Mark Ruffalo isn€™t enough to redeem this film. As you€™d expect, the dialogue of Ruffalo€™s character is too rigid, forced and painfully unnatural to allow him to have a good performance, even if he was at the height of his acting ability. His performance was obviously enough to impress the director as he was offered a part in Mirror Mirror III which he accepted. Clearly times were hard for poor Mark in the mid-90s.
