2. Micro Men (2009)
A lovely little BBC4 drama, which documented the 1980's battle between Alexander Armstrong as Clive Sinclair (he of the wonderful Sinclair Spectrum) and Freeman as his former employee Chris Curry (the man behind the BBC micro). Freeman embodies the DIY nature of the 80's computer scene, as a chain-smoking Cambridge boy determined to get one over on his old boss. Again, it's not about being showy, it's about portraying an underdog without patronising him. Plus he gets lamped by Armstrong's rather insane version of Sinclair in one of the most convincing pub punch ups (all wrestling and grappling, no actual martial arts skill) you're likely to see. Brilliant stuff, especially if you know your Repton from your Miner Willy.
