10. Crossbones Is Back

The Rumour:

Frank Grillo may have confirmed that Crossbones is going to be the latest addition to the Comic Book Deaths That Didn't Last pile.

Talking to Forbes, he mentioned working in a big franchise (specifically, The Purge movies) and reflected on enjoying his time in the MCU. He also seemed to suggest he's not done, too:

“It’s great to be part of Marvel too, and I have three boys who are fanatical about Marvel, and I was surprised not too long ago because there is some news that nobody knows yet, to do with my character, that’s going to be really interesting and I’m excited about that.”

Rating: 6/10

Grillo has also previous teased that he might not be dead, and you know what they say about no smoke. Plus there is the fact that deaths in comic book movies have a habit of not lasting.

It could come down to either bring back some characters from the dead, or using the stones to project things at his victims as Scarlet Witch did in Age Of Ultron. Either would work, given the huge spectrum of powers available to whoever wields the Infinity Gauntlet.9. Hela DOES Return For Avengers: Infinity War

Thor Ragnarok Hela

The Rumour:

In the long line of rumours dedicated to Hela's future in the MCU, it seems that Ragnarok's producer has unwittingly stoked the flames under the suggestion that she's going to be back for Infinity War.

ComicBook spoke to Brad Winderbaum spoke to press about Hela there and said the following about her possible return:

“Obviously we always think about the movies as standalones, even if they do set up a movie down the road or pay off something from a previous film. What we hope, if we do our jobs right, is that Hela is one of the best villains we’ve had - maybe the best, hopefully.“Cate has been delivering an incredible performance. She’s really scary and really charming. She’s very easy to watch, very fun to be around. But very murderous and horrible at the same time. You’re right that those are things that Thanos values. But when and how she plays into the future of the universe is uncertain now.”

Since he refused to say no, that's being taken as a suggestion that Hela returns for Infinity War.

Rating: 5/10

It's very much unclear at this present moment, but we do know that Marvel need a way of getting around the Death role in Infinity War, and having Hela stand in as the object of Thanos' attention certainly fits.

And it also feels a little unlikely that Thor will defeat Hela and then end up floating unconscious in space as he was shown to be in the Infinity War footage from Comic Con.
