5. Agent Carter Returns - Avengers: Infinity War

The Rumour:

According to two new casting calls, Infinity War will include at least one scene set back in the 1960s - possibly a flashback.

Central Casting Georgia’s Facebook page shared details of the casting calls looking for Caucasian female extras to play 1960s engineers and secretaries/clerks.

Given the time period, it's hard not to imagine we're looking at something to do with Agent Carter and the early days of SHIELD, especially as it fits with previous rumours linking Hayley Atwell with a return to the MCU.

The period setting surely has to mean we're going back to see Peggy as a young woman. The only thing that remains unclear is why and how the time travelling happens. Could it be a hint that SHIELD knew about the Infinity Stones before they let on? Or could this be another projected image, used by Thanos to torment Cap about the life he missed out on when he was frozen?
