Marvel: 15 Biggest MCU Rumours You Need To Know (Jan 15th)

According to Crossbones actor Frank Grillo, in an interview with Collider, he wasn't all that taken with the idea of coming back to the MCU, despite being offered the chance. You know, even though he's dead...

"If DeMonaco was still involved and they came up with a great idea, then I think I would do [another Purge movie]. Otherwise, I think I’m done. Same thing with Captain America. There’s nowhere for it to go, unless you’re Captain America or Iron Man. They were talking about it, but I was like, ‘You know what? I’d just rather not do it.’ I’m so appreciative and grateful to have been a part of something that big. I’m appreciative of The Purge. It’s become a part of the lexicon and the zeitgeist knows what it is, so that’s been fun. But, it’s time to move on. Don’t stay at the party too long, or you get knocked through the ropes."

Does that mean we should expect more villains under Thanos in Infinity War?

There's no reason to not believe him, is there? So he probably was approached, even though he was exploded into a series of tiny pieces (though as Grillo pointed out last summer, no body was ever found in the aftermath and he was resilient enough to survive a helipad falling onto his head...)

It would be interesting to know whether Marvel were looking to bring him in as part of a Thunderbolts-style team that General Ross sets up to try and bring in the underground Avengers, Black Widow and Nick Fury. Because that would make a hell of a sub-plot, and the increased rumours of secondary villains would fit with that. Alas, maybe that's just too much like good fantasy.
