Marvel: 15 Biggest MCU Rumours You Need To Know (Jan 15th)
11. Damage Control Will Debut In Spider-Man Homecoming
We already know that the next ABC Marvel show will adapt the Damage Control comic following the clean-up teams who specialise in picking up the pieces after superhero "events", but little information so far has been released aside from teases in MCU movies.
It looks like an eagle-eyed fan has set tongues wagging on the show's potential debut, suggesting that it will be seeded in Spider-Man: Homecoming. In a post on Reddit, said fan notes that Tyne Daly in costume on the Homecoming set looks suspiciously like Anne Marie Hoag, the director of Damage Control Inc in the comics.
And not only that but the actor standing beside her (Gary Weeks) has a badge on reading DODC (which he suggests stands for "Department of Damage Control".)
That seems pretty coincidental.
Rating: 9/10
That would be a pretty smart way to go, particularly as it would ensure that we aren't actually getting a female J Jonah Jameson as initially suspected. And while it would buck the trend of the Netflix films, it would follow on from the way the other MCU shows were initially seeded on the big screen.
Sure, it might be that the cast of the show don't end up being the same as the big screen ones (as with Agents Of SHIELD), but the organisation can still initially appear on the big screen.
