Marvel Cinematic Universe: Definitive Guide To Easter Eggs, In-Jokes And Foreshadowing

Guardians Of The Galaxy

3. No Racoons Or Trees Were Harmed

Audiences habitually sit through the credits of Marvel movies, and with Guardians Of The Galaxy the stydui threw in a little extra for those who were paying attention as the names of the visual effects artists rolled by. At the end of the credits, just before the stinger itself, there's a disclaimer tongue-in-cheekly assuring that "No raccoons or tree creatures were harmed during the making of this film."

2. Adam Warlock's Hatched

It may at first seem like Guardians' post-credits scene is trolling the audience. And while it is in some part, it also has a major bit of plot progression. In the background of the shot is Adam Warlock's cocoon, prominently featured previously, now hatched; Him is now out there, ready to play a major part in the fight against Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

1. Howard The Duck

And here's Marvel's big ribbing to the fans; after a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo earlier on, Howard the Duck makes his proper MCU debut. Not actually promising a new movie based on the character (although a film based on the comics would be pretty interesting), it's the studio hammering home just how far they've come; the first big-budget film based on a Marvel comic, Howard The Duck was a long-standing mar on their name. Now they've made Guardians Of The Galaxy into a massive hit, the horror of duck sex is well and truly behind them. Enjoyed this rundown of all the Marvel Easter eggs?
