Marvel Cinematic Universe: Every 2018 Project Ranked Worst To Best
1. Avengers: Infinity War
Is it really a surprise that the film the MCU has been building towards for years is at the top of this list? It's easy to take the third Avengers film for granted, but make no mistake, what Marvel Studios and everyone involved pulled off with the film is an incredible feat, one that fans all over the world eagerly embraced and proved just how important the franchise has become to so many.
Aside from the fact that the film managed to wrangle dozens of characters from across nearly all the films to date together into one coherent film, Infinity War turned Thanos - who up until the film had only been seen for mere minutes on screen - into an iconic cinematic villain, one with complex motivations that managed to actually accomplish his goal of wiping out half the universe.
Infinity War feels like a true love letter to fans, whether it be its efforts to tie up a few loose ends, like the return of Red Skull, or the simple fact that it throws things up on screen that no one would've ever believed they'd see a decade ago, from the Winter Soldier fighting with Rocket on the battlefield of Wakanda to Spider-Man, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy fighting Thanos in the far reaches of space. There's just so much Infinity War had to juggle on top of having to live up to years of anticipation, and the fact that it pulls it off so effortlessly is something worth lauding, the film standing as an exciting, rewarding story all its own even as it pushed the MCU into new territory and raised the bar for everything still left to come.
