7. The Punisher: Season 2
After stealing the show in Daredevil's second season before taking center stage in a solid first season of a show of his own, Frank Castle returned for his second - and final - outing in January. As usual, Jon Bernthal was fantastic, reminding us yet again just how perfectly cast he is in the role and just how disappointing it will be if and when the Netflix shows are officially struck from MCU canon.
In the season's final moments, Frank Castle officially reclaimed his mantle as the Punisher, setting the stage for a future we'd all been waiting for, but the journey to get there was rocky. Though there were a handful of great sequences, such as a brutal bathroom and bar brawl or John Pilgrim facing his past, the pacing of the season often felt painfully languid, helped in no small part by holding Billy Russo back from going full Jigsaw for the sake of keeping him mopey and tethered to Krista instead.
Even further, the relationship between Micro and Frank that was one of the first season's highlights was sorely missing, while the villainous Schultzes didn't pack the kind of electric, despicable punch that Agent Orange had. Despite that, however, highlights like Pilgrim - a fantastic addition to the series - helped keep the season enjoyable enough, even if it was the weakest overall of the Punisher's three appearances.
