6. Runaways: Season 3

Captain Marvel Thanos Avengers Endgame
Marvel Television / Hulu

Like Cloak & Dagger, Runaways has been one of the MCU's younger-skewing shows since its debut back in 2017, and while that may turn off a large slice of the overall MCU fanbase disinterested in teen-centric drama, it's been an entertaining, if imperfect, ride for three seasons. This year was no different than its first two years, full of the sorts of highs and lows that have defined the show's run for better or worse.

To its credit, the Gibborim plot that could be argued had long overstayed its welcome came to an end by the close of the fourth episode, allowing Morgan le Fay the chance to step out of the shadows for the back half of the season. While her cell phone-focused plot was a bit goofy, her arrival kicked the door down for the show to really dive headfirst into magic, mysticism, and the weirdness of the Dark Dimension, giving Nico the opportunity to really take center stage as a result.

Along the way, we got a bit of closure to the Xavin and prophecy plot, some of the fat was trimmed as a few members of Pride lost their lives, Cloak and Dagger showed up to take part in one of the season's standout episodes, and the death of Gert opened up all sorts of time travel shenanigans in the finale (albeit breaking the rules that Avengers: Endgame set up in the process).

Though the show teased a future that we'll likely never see thanks to its cancellation, one that would've included Victor Mancha, the series ended on a positive final note, with its heroic teens together and happy, putting a heartwarming button on the series that helped lessen the sting of its premature end.
