Marvel Cinematic Universe: Every 2019 Project Ranked Worst To Best
1. Avengers: Endgame
Is it really a surprise that the MCU's biggest film - and the film that toppled Avatar's decade-long record as the highest-grossing film in history - is at the top of this list? One can easily pick apart and criticize the details of Avengers: Endgame to death, and there's even a case to be made that Infinity War is a stronger film, but there's no denying that the film overall is a monumental achievement.
That the film was able to wrangle so many characters and threads from the franchise's first decade together so effortlessly, delivering a satisfying send-off to a few major characters along the way, is nothing short of a miracle. In many ways, for better or worse, Endgame felt like a love letter to the franchise, from quite literally taking its heroes through a few notable moments in the series' history to a slew of cameos from minor and major characters peppered throughout.
It's telling how beloved the MCU has become that the roofs of theaters all over the world were blown off during moments like Steve Rogers' Mjolnir moment or the return of all the dusted heroes. It's loaded with fan service, yes, which certainly has bothered naysayers, but it's fan service that's more than earned, all part of an enjoyable package that closed out the first era of this massive franchise while setting the stage for an exciting new one where anything and everything is possible.
