Marvel Cinematic Universe: Every 2019 Project Ranked Worst To Best
2. Spider-Man: Far From Home
Following up the massive success of Avengers: Endgame was never going to be an easy feat, but the Spider-Man sequel pulled it off pretty effortlessly. Taking Peter Parker out of New York City and into the world at large proved to be a fun choice, forcing the young high schooler out of his comfort zone in a way that allowed him to work through his grief over Tony Stark's death and come into his own.
Tom Holland continued to own the role, while everyone around him got more time to shine following Homecoming, whether it be MJ getting more to do or Happy becoming more of a supportive figure in Peter's life. Throw in an excellent performance by Jake Gyllenhaal as Quentin "Mysterio" Beck and a pair of fun credits sequences that featured J. K. Simmons returning to the role of J. Jonah Jameson and a Skrull-centric revelation, and the movie proved fun from beginning to end.
Of course, this nearly ended up being the end of Spider-Man's time in the MCU, which would've been brutal for fans considering the cliffhanger ending it left off on, but fortunately the crisis was averted (for now). Spider-Man will be returning again, and the prospect of seeing what Peter Parker gets up to next with how the events of Far From Home have turned his own world upside down is definitely intriguing.
