Marvel Cinematic Universe Films - Ranked By Their Villains

2. Guardians Of The Galaxy - Ronan The Accuser

This is where we cross from the realm of great villains into the realm of badass, in your face, gonna-conquer-the-universe-and-there-ain't-a-damn-thing-you-can-do-about-it villains. At the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy, Ronan the Accuser is a pretty standard villain. He's intimidating as hell, driven by vengeance, and has a deal with Thanos to get the orb in exchange for the latter destroying Xandar. That's right, Ronan wants to destroy a freakin' planet. He doesn't want money. He doesn't want power. He wants blood, and lots of it. And that's before he learns the orb holds an Infinity Stone. Once he discovers this, all bets are off as Ronan goes from standard villain to bonafide supervillain. First, he murders The Other, the same being who punked Loki in The Avengers, and then threatens Thanos. Thanos! From there he single-handedly murders most of the Nova Corp, survives a shot to the chest from Rocket's cannon, and then survives a ship that Rocket crashes into him. It takes Peter Quill's dance moves and the power of the Infinity Stone itself to finally bring an end to his reign of terror. That, ladies and gentlemen, is one badass villain. Pros: High kill count, ruthless, intimidating, carries a big hammer, kicks the crap out of Drax, brutally murders The Other, has the balls to threaten Thanos! Cons: Is easily distracted by Peter Quill's dance moves (but who among us wouldn't be?)

Yes, my last name is pronounced exactly as it's spelled. Just like "going to the store". ;) I am an aspiring writer currently working on my first novel, which is GOING to be awesome once it's published. (See what I did there?) I love reading, am a HUGE film buff (who welcomes all trivia challenges), and never miss a New York Giants football game. I'm an open book so if there is anything else you'd like to know about me, just ask.
