Marvel Cinematic Universe: Ranking Every 2015 Project From Worst To Best
7. Avengers: Age Of Ultron
It says a lot about how strong of a year 2015 was for the MCU when the heavily-anticipated sequel to one of the biggest movies of all time isn't even close to being the best thing Marvel put out for the year. Age Of Ultron roped together its original (and already huge) cast for another outing, while also injecting the new blood of Ultron, the Vision, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. In trying to carry on its own big story, it also played with and developed many character relationships we've come to know, seeding the ground for future stories - Civil War, Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Infinity War - along the way. Lots of people loved it and some hate it, but most can probably agree it cracked a bit under the weight of all it had to carry, providing an entertaining if not quite as efficient followup to the first film and marking the end of Joss Whedon's tenure within the MCU. But with the Russo Brothers now in charge of both parts of Avengers: Infinity War - after directing the stellar The Winter Soldier and the sure-to-be-awesome Civil War - the future of the Avengers films is in good hands. Hopefully.
