Marvel Cinematic Universe: Ranking Every 2015 Project From Worst To Best

6. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Season 2)

The first half of the show's second season, which aired in 2014, proved that the show was only continuing to get better in the wake of how The Winter Soldier's events reshaped its first season. But it was the second half of the season earlier this year - running from March through May - that well and truly kicked it up a notch. Following the loss of one of the team's most upbeat members forever, the team was thrust into the world of the Inhumans, with Skye herself undergoing massive changes. With her father Cal - played to perfection by Kyle MacLachlan - desperately trying to rebuild his family, her mother Jiaying trying to cull mankind from the planet, and even her team divided on her newfound status as an Inhuman, she took centre stage here in providing the show with its most dramatic elements yet. On top of that, Ward continued to evolve into the villain we all love to hate, getting a bit of comeuppance by the end of the season when May tricked him into killing his own lover. Throw in an appearance by Lady Sif, some effortless setup for Age of Ultron, more Raina, Mack and his axe, and an ending that changed the MCU forever and the second half of the season proved to be a great ride.
